How much can I earn?

It depends on the space and where you are. A typical Toronto garage earns around $2,900 a year, a barn bay outside the city nearer $1,900. Try the earnings calculator for a figure based on your space.

What if a renter stops paying?

We run the legal notice process for you and clear the space at our cost if it comes to that, up to $2,000 on top of their deposit. We do not keep paying your rent, but you keep the deposit and any rent already collected, and can re-let. You're never left chasing anyone or dealing with someone else's belongings.

How the guarantee works

Do I have to accept every booking?

No. Offer self-access and renters can book instantly; otherwise you approve each request. Every renter is ID-verified before they can book anything.

Can I list if I rent my home?

Check your lease or mortgage allows sub-letting first, some don't. It's a much easier conversation to have before you list than after.

How and when do I get paid?

Rent is released to you as each renter payment clears. A renter's first payment is held until their legal 7 day cancellation window closes, then released; after that, payments release as they are collected. Your bank receives a weekly payout every Friday. You keep 100%, Stashly takes 0% from hosts and makes its money on the renter's side instead.
